Eoghan assists, advises and represents clients as they encounter challenging legal positions but also with the inevitable associated personal issues with passion and empathy. He is conscious of the need to also protect client reputation as far as possible in those difficult times.
He supervises various MSM departments including Family Law and Litigation whilst also leading the MSM Criminal Law team, aiding clients under investigation by various agencies but also those clients who find themselves before the Magistrates Court, Crown Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
Eoghan has also been awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Criminal Justice by QUB. Eoghan is an accredited Law Society Advanced Advocate. He also has a particular interest in Human Rights Law, holding a Masters in Human Rights from QUB.
He is always anxious to protect client interests in as many other ways as possible such as via Judicial Review proceedings, for example. He has also helped clients requiring representation in Public Inquiries, Inquests and also in Extradition Proceedings previously, attending a specialist course in Athens in relation to European Arrest Warrants.
Eoghan has encouraged a focus within MSM Law on Alternative Dispute Resolution and has undertaken and completed Mediator training.
Eoghan assists MSM Law clients at a wider level in his strategic leadership role as MD of MSM Law. He has recently completed a mini MBA at QUB to assist those endeavours.
Eoghan was recently elected to the Law Society Council and is also a previous Chair of the Belfast Solicitors' Association. He is a member of the Law Society Criminal Law, Education, Client Complaints and Access to Justice committees, numerous other legal groups and has been appointed to sit on the Magistrates Rules Committee.
He is determined to ensure clients receive access to justice with fair and equal treatment at all stages in the Justice System via the best representation and advocacy in particular from MSM Law.
